Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is well-known by her stage name and screen name Gugu Mbatha Raw. The actress became famous after she was cast in the show 'Doctor Who. To help support herself, Handler began to work as an actress. But, at aged 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time, because she realized her story telling abilities. The beginning of her career Handler started out her career in the Oxygen network's all-female cast in a hidden camera/practical joke reality television show Girls Behaving badly. The show ran on air from 2002 to 2005. The handler began to appear in various other programs, including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started her journey as a correspondent on The Tonight Show. Handler's biggest breakthrough was in the year 2006, when she began hosting her show on E! Named The Chelsea Handler show. It lasted for two seasons. Handler was then seen in the United States on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend as well as HBO have shown the stand-up comedian's performance. The announcement was made in 2010 she was to host the MTV Video Music Awards 2010. As a result, she was only the second host female ever to do so, after Roseanne.
